Thanks to Robert Stancil, Bob Binkley, and Glen Young for honoring Colonel Griffith at his funeral service in Austin. At the request of the family both motorcycles (Bob & Me) at the service rode escort behind the coach to Killeen. Thanks to the CenTex PGR for honoring him at the burial ceremony at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Thanks to twelve Patriot Guard Riders who stood in honor of U.S. Army Veteran Leroy Nolan Jr. today. Additional thanks to Bob Binkley for wrangling flags, including the U.S. Army flag and providing ice cold water. As always, Elgin's LEO's provided a safe and flawless escort to the cemetery.

It was well past sunset when the heavily attended service for Alfredo Lara was concluded. Mr. Lara's wife, Sue Ann Lara asked me to convey her appreciation to the nine Patriot Guard Riders that rode and stood in honor of her husband Alfredo. Frank (Scooter Jr.) James Granddaughter Kendyl, who rode two up with her Grandfather was one of the nine. Thank you J.C. Clausen for wrangling the flags and staying late to ensure no rider was left behind in the dark.

Fox 7 news posted a story about SGT Huckstep and the Memorial scheduled for tomorrow. It is very well done. The video is combined with a short 48 second report on another topic so be patient. It begins at 50 seconds in. Click the link.

An additional note. The family has requested that we form a flag line both prior to and immediately following the funeral service for Colonel Lindauer. It is our privilege to honor that request.

The family of Walter Lawrence expressed their heartfelt thank you to all that stood in his honor today. We had twelve PGR members at the Georgetown service. Several were also able to join the Centex group at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery to form a superb flag line for the inurnment service.

Outstanding turnout to honor WW II Veteran Carroll von Roeder. Thank you all with an additional thank you to PGR members Rita Rainwater, Andy Lough, Tony Womack, and Mark Wells for the flawless flag folding ceremony. An extra thanks to Mark for stepping forward and giving the invocation and benediction on a moments notice due to an illness that necessitated the need for a backup.

Thanks again to everyone that welcomed home SFC Rob Bell. I believe we had fifteen riders and three of those were two up. Lyn wrangled the flags and helped some of us stay cool with ice cold face towels and plenty of cold water. The addition of the Can-Am Spyder group helped make for a fantastic showing!!!
