Ten members of the PGR honored Mr. Arthur Haywood in the flag line at the church. Eight were able to ride in procession to the cemetery. It was a special ceremony with full Military Honors. Mr. Haywood's earthly remains were carried the final quarter mile in a horse drawn hearse followed by a riderless horse and a honor guard from the Camp Mabry Buffalo Soldiers Company A 9th Cavalry. Thanks to all who stood for Mr. Haywood. Special thanks to Flag Wrangler Don Ferguson and Elgin PD. Note from Elgin Funeral Home Director Joshua Hausladen: "Everything turned out great! Thank you all for a job well done. The family was singing the praises of all those involved. I am very honored and proud to be able to work with all of you. Thanks again."

With the expressed appreciation from many grateful family members and friends nine members of the Patriot Guard Riders stood with flags in hand to honor Mr. Alexander DeCoux. Eight riders rode in procession from the church to the cemetery where flag wrangler Don Ferguson was set up ready to form the flag line. My thanks to all who participated. You did an excellent job both standing and riding for Mr. DeCoux.

Very grateful to the twelve Patriot Guard Riders who manned the flag line for the graveside interment of Captain Robert Barnett. The ceremony included a flyover by four T-38 Talons and a 21 gun salute. The flag line was manned for 90 minutes. Duty faithfully performed by the Guard today!

Eight Patriot Guard Riders on the flag line for Mike Moreno in Austin. Three of us joined the San Antonio PGR at the San Antonio staging and rode in a short distance procession into Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Seventeen were on the flag line at the cemetery.

UPDATE: There will not be a PGR escort from the church in Austin to San Antonio. San Antonio PGR has coordinated with the funeral home and the family of Mr. Moreno to provide a very short escort from a staging point close to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery for the 1:45 p.m. interment. Those desiring to go to San Antonio and participate in the short procession and flag line at the cemetery can join me and ride as a group to the staging. I will have all the details at the mission briefing Tuesday morning. Any questions now please don't hesitate to call or email me. Thanks, Terry Ayers

Six turned out to form a flag line and honor 101 year old WW II Veteran Jose "Joe" Zavala. Arraingments were not made for a LEO escort so the PGR did not participate in the procession to the cemetery. We stood by at the church and formed an honor line as Mr. Zavala was placed in the coach. We departed swiftly to the cemetery. Special thanks to Flag Wrangler Don Ferguson for having the flags ready upon our arrival. We had the cemetery flag line in place several minutes prior to the arrival of the procession. Many family members and friends of Mr. Zavala expressed their sincere appreciation that the PGR was there. Our Honor!

Fifteen responded to the Mission for Raymond Johnson. Many members of the family including Mrs. Johnson came out of the funeral home in the chilly damp air to personally thank the PGR for honoring their loved one. There was not a formal procession to CTSVC. The Funeral Home had a lead car and the coach so three big flag bikes escorted Mr. Johnson to the cemetery. The family didn't expect it and when the offer to escort was extended they were very appreciative. Three others of our fifteen rode up and staged with Central Texas making a total of six that attended both flag lines.

Very thankful for the great turnout today to honor SPC Phillip Cruz Medellin. Sixteen riders including two first mission members, one being the Uncle of SPC Medellin. In addition, arriving at the cemetery we were honored to be approached by a Gold Star Mom who asked to join us standing in the flag line. Another shout out for our dedicated flag wrangler Don Ferguson who always goes above and beyond the call of duty for carrying jumper cables. Departure time at the cemetery we had a bike needing a jump. SEMPER GUMBY!

The Cook-Walden chapel was full of family and friends attending Mr. Beck's service. Twelve PGR members were there to stand in his honor. The PGR received many comments of appreciation. Thanks to Don Ferguson for contacting me and volunteering to flag wrangle in my place. Thanks also to RC Keith Longacre for volunteering to hold the U.S. Navy flag even though he's a former Marine. Keith is a true Patrioit!

What a great honor it was for the fifteen PGR members to stand for three war Veteran Colonel Musgrove as family and friends arrived for his service. It is especially gratifying when the family is as appreciative as his was for the Guards presence. America at its finest today!
