Confirmed mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral service for Mr. Miguel Angel Moreno. Mr. Moreno served in the US Army and is a Vietnam combat veteran. He left the service as a E-1 PVT. His service commendations include the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Date/Time: Tuesday, 28 March 2017. Funeral mass scheduled for 10 am.

Location: St Paul Catholic Church, 10000 David Moore, Austin, Texas 78748. We will stage at the church.

Notes: Bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend. This is a flag line only at the church. Once the memorial service begins we will strike the flag line and depart quietly. Interment to follow at 1:45 pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. San Antonio PGR will participate.

UPDATE: There will not be a PGR escort from the church in Austin to San Antonio. San Antonio PGR has coordinated with the funeral home and the family of Mr. Moreno to provide a very short escort from a staging point close to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery for the 1:45 p.m. interment. Those desiring to go to San Antonio and participate in the short procession and flag line at the cemetery can join me and ride as a group to the staging. Eight Patriot Guard Riders on the flag line for Mike Moreno in Austin. Three of us joined the San Antonio PGR at the San Antonio staging and rode in a short distance procession into Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Seventeen were on the flag line at the cemetery.
