Mission Summary submitted by Soup Campbell: We were pleased at the turnout. 13 PGR members were there to honor this hero. Of special note are the ones who scurried up from the 10:00 mission in Round Rock, not the least of which was Don, who even brought his own flag! Several members of the family walked the flag line to express their appreciation for our presence. We would like to express our appreciation to all who helped putting the flags away. We had staked 8 flags in addition to the 13 held by members. A big shout out to Hugh Strawn for helping with the flags and accompanying Soup in the escort to the cemetery. Two big flag bikes worked perfectly since there was no LEO escort.
The biggest and best, surprise of the day was when this beautiful red spotless Can Am wheeled in with none other than the “Paige” himself. So great to see him and have him back in attendance.December 8, 2018 at 12:23 am in reply to: Billy H. Miller, 81, USAF/USA/TxANG, Vietnam veteran, Georgetown, TX, 07 DEC 20 #5245mototerryModeratorEight including myself stood in moderate to heavy rain and gusty winds to honor Mr. Billy Miller. That's a good turnout taking into consideration the inclement weather. Six in cages, one two wheeler, and one three wheeler. It was an easy call not to participate in the procession to the cemetery. Instead all but the RC reconvened at the cemetery to await the procession. The service lasted well past the projected time and following the service food was served to the family and friends in the church parish hall. That also went well past the projected time. Already close to an hour behind law enforcement arrived during heavy rain and informed I-35 was backed up several miles due to two separate vehicle accidents. An alternate route was developed that was going to delay the procession even more. The RC spoke with the family and with their blessing the mission was stood down once Mr. Miller was placed in the coach. Those waiting and staging at the cemetery were given the go ahead to stand down. My thanks to the seven who in spite of the weather and the delays gave of themselves to honor this career veteran.
July 12, 2018 at 7:22 pm in reply to: Patrick Meuth, 78, US Army veteran, Rockne, TX, 12 JUL 2018 #5167mototerryModeratorGreat turnout for a short notice outlying mission. Thanks again to the 10 (11 including me) who were there to honor Mr. Meuth and his service to our nation. Pulling double duty both in the flag lines and as flag wranglers Nicki and Soup Campbell took good care of us by having water available for the crew.

VFW Post 4443mototerryModeratorThirteen bikes including one bike with two up riders and two first mission riders turned out for the Memorial Day ceremony hosted by VFW Post 4443. Counting flag wranglers Nicki and Soup Campbell fifteen total in attendance. Extra kudos to Nicki for having all five military flags. The Post Commander was especially grateful for that. Due to the heat, the Post Commander kept the ceremony to less than thirty minutes. The PGR was especially grateful for that!
April 15, 2018 at 1:10 am in reply to: Karl Hogsett, 57, US Army veteran, Saturday, 14 April, Hye, TX #5098mototerryModeratorThankful there were six of us to participate in the Memorial Service for Mr. Hogsett. Semper Gumby- The memorial service was originally planned to include playing of taps by an authentic bugler and a flag presentation ceremony to Mr. Hogsett's widow by an Army Honor Guard. The request for an Army Honor Guard was denied 11th hour because military honors had been provided at Mr. Hogsett's funeral service that was previously held in Lufkin. The Bugler was in attendance and at the request of the family the Patriot Guard conducted the flag presentation ceremony. Thanks to Soup and Nicki Campbell for marking the long driveway entrance with flags and placing others along the fence at the facility. As windy as it was it made a real nice display.
February 22, 2018 at 10:12 pm in reply to: Jesse Rodriguez, 70, US Army, Vietnam veteran, Austin, TX, 22 Feb 2018 #5079mototerryModeratorFour PGR Members honored Mr. Rodriguez and his service to our country. One big flag bike rode in honor behind the hearse in the LEO led procession. Outstanding effort on the part of Flag Wrangler Don Ferguson for making both missions. Bad weather and traffic was against him but he still arrived with the flags just in the nick of time. The family was very grateful for our presence.
January 17, 2018 at 9:59 pm in reply to: Charles H. Walker, 86, US Army/Korea veteran, Georgetown, TX, 17 JAN 2018 #5060mototerryModeratorExcellent turnout of twelve patriots to stand in honor of Charles "Chuck" Walker. Dry roads and a balmy 30 degrees was good enough for three of the twelve to ride their motorcycles to the flag line mission. Thanks to all who honored this Korean War Veteran today. An extra nod to Don for wrangling the flags.

November 25, 2017 at 3:37 am in reply to: MSgt Mark F. Glubczynski, 64, USAF (Ret), Austin, TX, 24 NOV 2017 #5031mototerryModeratorHad a good turnout. Thirteen Patriot Guard Riders honored MSgt Mark Glubczynski with a flag line. Regular Morning Mass was being held prior to the 10:00 Funeral Mass so family and friends arriving early gathered and waited outside. When the flag line was in place many of them including MSgt Glubczynski's widow took a lot of time to thank us individually. Thanks Riders… Thanks Don for wrangling.
