Riders, this is our second mission for Thursday, 22 February. There is time to attend the earlier one in Georgetown and make it down to this one to honor Mr. Rodriguez. Please try to attend one or both of these missions.
Confirmed Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral and interment services for Mr. Jesse Rodriguez. Mr. Rodriguez served in the US Army from 1968 to 1974, including a tour in Vietnam. He was awarded a Purple Heart among other commendations.

10:00 am – 10:20 am Staging
10:20 am – Briefing
10:30 am – Flag line
Wx: Hi 54 deg, 80% rain chance.
Notes: Stay hydrated. Bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend. Be mindful of the weather, cage it if warranted. Weather permitting we will join the law enforcement escorted procession from the church to Assumption Cemetery (10 min ride) where we will form a second flag line for the interment service.
Four PGR Members honored Mr. Rodriguez and his service to our country. One big flag bike rode in honor behind the hearse in the LEO led procession. Outstanding effort on the part of Flag Wrangler Don Ferguson for making both missions. Bad weather and traffic was against him but he still arrived with the flags just in the nick of time. The family was very grateful for our presence.
