The response by the PGR to escort SFC Billy Hill to Gatesville was outstanding. Twenty-nine riders stood at attention on the tarmac in front of their bikes as did an equal number of Austin Police Department Motors. Twenty-six bikes and one cage rode in procession. With that many bikes and LEO motors the good citizens recognized in plenty of time what was approaching and pulled over in respect. Two citizens at different overpass locations displayed a large American Flag and the other a Large POW/MIA Flag. The most important note is the appreciation expressed by the family members. Long ago accepting their loved one's fate yet not having him home was something they lived with everyday. His cousin, Beverly Jacobs who's family raised him told me he was more like a brother growing up and although the day was a solemn occasion it was also the happiest day of her life in over 47 years. The Mission continues tomorrow. Ride Safe!

The PGR honored former Marine George Brown with five on the flag line and four bikes in a large procession of family and friends. Thank you riders and thank you Don for wrangling the flags.

The attendance was excellent with riders from CenTex and Austin totaling 16. Had one 1st Mission Rider. Thanks again to Don Ferguson for handling the Flag Wrangling duties! All hands did a superb job honoring Raymond Montgomery. His family expressed their sincere appreciation for the great turnout. A shout out also to Burnet County road maintenance crews for the last minute blading of County Road 218A leading to the cemetery. Just thankful they didn't lay down fresh asphaltic emulsion oil…

Great turnout to stand for our PGR brother and Air Force Veteran. The flag line was joined by several members of the South Austin Riders Group (SARG) of which Ed was a dedicated member. In all there were 21 flags including the United States Air Force flag. Man-O-man it was beautiful sight seeing that many flags again…

Outstanding Russ and those who rode and stood for SGT Emran. I was prepared to ride and a last minute unavoidable situation came up that caused me to miss the mission. Thanks to all for picking up my slack!

Including the RC and Flag Wrangler there were five Patriot Guard Riders that attended the mission. Thanks guys…
Special thanks to Don for bringing extra flags for the members of the ROADDOCS Club. They were very appreciative. The flag line was most fitting for the ceremony they had planned.

In spite of multiple rain showers in the area there was an excellent turnout of ten Patriot Guard Riders to honor Mr. Benner for his military service to our country. My sincere thanks to all in attendance.

Five bikes and one cage escorted Vietnam Veteran Alvin Simpson to Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. The mission was covered by the news media in Austin and Killeen. At the time of his passing Mr. Simpson was homeless and his remains had been held for five months. The money to pay for his funeral was raised through social media via a GoFundMe account. Thanks to Austin PD and the Sherriff departments of Travis, Williamson, and Bell counties for the exceptional escort.

The many family members and friends of their loved one Roger Cordrey were extremely appreciative that the PGR was there with two American Flags and the USAF Service Flag. Due to the heavy rain showers we stood our flag line in the foyer and stayed dry as a bone. Thanks Sam and Russ.. FINE JOB!

In the interest of safety…..If the 100% chance of rain with the possibility of severe storms that is forecast for Saturday turns out to be accurate then there's also a 100% chance I will make the mission in my cage. Flag line only, no procession…Ample parking at the hall.
