Welcome Home Mission
Elizabeth Bell and 11 month old son Holden have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in a welcome home for her husband and his father, SFC Robert (Rob) Bell, 36th Infantry Division, Texas Army National Guard, Camp Mabry, Austin, Texas.
Sergeant Bell has been deployed in Basra, Iraq since October 2010. While in Basra, Sergeant Bell recognized a need of the Iraqi civilians that worked on the military base. The civilians barely earned enough money to purchase shoes and socks suitable for the job they were doing. With Sergeant Bell in Iraq and his wife Elizabeth in Georgetown they founded the highly successful "Operation Save a Shoe." Operation Save a Shoe collected and distributed 187 pairs of shoes & 700 pairs of socks to the civilian workers. Extra shoes and socks were donated to a local orphanage in Basra.

August 9, 2011 at 3:37 pm #3364markwellsKeymasterMaybe so…but the pilot would be looking for a carrier on lake Travis for a place to land.
August 9, 2011 at 4:25 pm #3365markwellsKeymasternot enough water in Travis to float that big of a "boat"

Thanks again TonyAugust 13, 2011 at 5:21 am #3369mototerryModeratorThanks again to everyone that welcomed home SFC Rob Bell. I believe we had fifteen riders and three of those were two up. Lyn wrangled the flags and helped some of us stay cool with ice cold face towels and plenty of cold water. The addition of the Can-Am Spyder group helped make for a fantastic showing!!!
Ride Safe
