    Leroy Nolan Jr. 62, Veteran, U.S. Army

    The family of Leroy Nolan Jr. has requested the participation of the PGR in his funeral services. Mr. Nolan served in the United States Army.

    Leroy Nolan, Jr. 62, of Elgin passed away peacefully, Sunday afternoon, April 22, 2012. He will lie in state from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM Thursday, April 26th through Friday, April 27th.
    A Home-Going Celebration will be conducted at Winns Memorial Baptist Church on Saturday, April 28th with the Reverend D.W. Townsend officiating. Interment will follow at Elgin Latin Cemetery.

    Directions: Driving east on Hwy 290 E. from Austin to Elgin, Turn left onto Avenue F. at the intersection of Hwy 95 & US 290. Continue on Avenue F for one block and turn right on Madison St. Continue on Madison St. to the 600 Block. The church is on the right.

    Notes: We will stage at the church. Arrive fed, fueled, and hydrated. We will join the LEO escorted procession for a 5 minute ride to the cemetery. Elgin Latin Cemetery is located at the end of Ochoa Street.
    Ochoa Street runs south off US 290 next to Meyers Smokehouse.

    Thanks to twelve Patriot Guard Riders who stood in honor of U.S. Army Veteran Leroy Nolan Jr. today. Additional thanks to Bob Binkley for wrangling flags, including the U.S. Army flag and providing ice cold water. As always, Elgin's LEO's provided a safe and flawless escort to the cemetery.
