Great turn out on Veterans Day to Honor MSGT Shelby. 10 bikes, 6 cages, 17 total PGR. Thank U all for being tremendous patriots.
keithlongacreModeratorWe had 9 members today with 1 new rider & 1 transfer from Ark. Several members of the family & friends personally thanked us for our support. Manuel was a biker & rode a Kawasaki Concourse. In addition, the Corvette Club he belonged to, showed up in force & it was quite a site on the procession.
Thanks Don for handling the flags & water. All of U guys make a difference. Thank U all so much.keithlongacreModeratorWhat a nice turn out for a week day. Thanks to all 16 of you. I guess U could tell how much it ment to the family & friends U were there.
keithlongacreModeratorA big thank U to the 10 PGR members that stood for this Marine today. The MCL (Marine Corps League), which Ed was a member of, made several really nice comments about our presence. U did good, looked good & are good. When U take time out of your day to stand tall for our veterans, U make a BIG difference & are really appreciated.

Yeah! We had 6 flag bearers for the beginning of service w 3 having to leave after. For the procession, we gained a couple & had 4 riders & a cage from PGR. Thank U all so much for standing for this veteran.

This is a family of fellow bikers, so there were several MC groups in attendance. PGR had 20 folks and the family wanted U all to know how appreciative they were of your being there for them. Thanks to both Terry & Mark for flag duty.

Patriotism every where. PGR showed up big & we lined the entire bridge railing leading to the ceremony. Tons of pics were taken along with tons of appreciative comments. look on Facebook.
Thanks guys. U are special.October 28, 2014 at 10:09 pm in reply to: Austin – Wilson Larkin Miller 93, US Army Air Corp/Air Force Veteran #4581keithlongacreModeratorWe had a good turn out today. 8 riders, 2 cages for a total of 11 Patriots. Family was so, so appreciative of our being there to honor Mr. Miller. They asked for a couple of riders to escort the coach to the funeral home after the service & 4 riders & a cage stayed to do that. A big big thanks to Robert Hites, ( our new rider ), Steve Windle, Gary Potts, Scott Wegner & Jack Ball. Mr Miller will be transported to East Tx in the morning.
Mr Ken Newell, one of our newer members wanted you all to know how much he appreciates your kindness & inclusiveness. He thinks U guys are really swell.
THANK YOU ALL.keithlongacreModeratorA great big THANK YOU to the 10 riders that showed up on a week day to honor Mathew & his service to our country. And what can U cay about our Flag Wrangler, Sam. He got in late last night from a trip but still showed up to save the day although tired. And if that were not enough, he than took the flags to a 2nd mission funeral to serve another veteran. Thank U Sam for your outstanding service.
The rest of us took part in an honor procession to TSVC in Killeen. After that was completed, all but 3 than went to the 2nd mission in Cedar Park. U guys are the best. The family & friends expressed their sincere appreciation for our being there. You make a difference!!!!keithlongacreModeratorWow. What a great turn out. We had riders join us from as far away as San Antonio. We had a rider join us in Johnson City & 2 more in Frederiksberg. In addition, some friends of Capt. Shafer met us at the Austin staging. All total we had 21 bikes & 2 cages.
The flag line proved to be a challenge with the heat & high humidity. I managed to get most into the shade but even then, it was still pretty grueling. U patriots never cease to amaze me. U are truly super people & I humbly thank U for all U do. It was my honor to serve with U today.
A big thanks too to Bobby for being the Flag Wrangler & bringing cold water. That was a God sent.
Members of the family stopped me after the service & wanted me to pass along to U all how deeply appreciative they all were for the show of respect that U all rendered by giving up your Sat to be there. U DO make a difference & it shows. As a Vietnam vet, your showing of respect to the fallen veteran is especially meaningful to me. Thanks so so much again.August 2, 2014 at 10:00 pm in reply to: Austin – Robert S. King 86, U.S. Air Force Vietnam Vet #4531keithlongacreModeratorGreat turn out today. 19 patriots gave up their Sat to help the King family on this special day. In talking to Lt. Col. King's daughter, the whole family really, really appreciated our being there to honor & show respect to Col. King. As an added touch, there was a double fly over by the Commemorative Air Force with the 2nd flight a missing man formation. As many times as I have seen this, it still was very moving.
We also had 2 new riders. Super.
Thanks everyone for being such a great bunch of folks. U MADE A DIFFERENCE !!!August 1, 2014 at 12:47 am in reply to: Austin – Robert S. King 86, U.S. Air Force Vietnam Vet #4528keithlongacreModeratorI have learned that there is to be a KC 130 fly over at 1:00
keithlongacreModeratorFellow Patriots. When U arrive at the church on E. HWY 29, PARK ACCROSS FROM THE CHURCH ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE SIDE STREET (E. RUTTERSVILLE ) My Nissan P/U will be the first in line.
keithlongacreModeratorA hugh thanks to the 13 PGR that showed up for Capt. Williams. The family really thought their Marine would have liked it but would have told us to "get out of the sun". The internment was not till 12 so most of the riders left. 2 of us went to the Berry Creek cemetery to show honors. I think more was coming but the place was almost impossible to find. A detail of Marines was there to render military honors & the 2 of us PGR stood with ( the USMC & US flags ) at the head of the grave site. It worked out super & as we left, family stopped to thank us again & tell how Roger "Tosh" would have liked it.
Thanks again to all of you that gave of your time today to honor this brave Marine & his family. Semper Fi ooh rah -
