What a downpour today as 4 brave patriotic Americans stood with pride to show Honor & Respect for Jessie & his family. During staging, we gathered under the hearse’s canopy to stay reasonably dry & did the same in front of the FH. As folks arrived, we were warmly thanked for braving the elements to stand in the flag line for Jessie.
I had Don, back under the H’s canopy to off load flags and that really helped. j

Today started at the Georgetown Service Garage with the PD superbly forming a procession line with the PGR right behind the lead car. Several LEO’s stopped to chat with all of us & to comment on how super it was to have us there in our special way of showing honor & respect for Air Force MSgt. & fellow police officer, Michelle Gattey. As the procession proceeded to the church, every oncoming vehicle pulled over with some folks even getting out to show honor & respect. There were also many people standing on the side of the road doing the same.
At the church, we joined other PGR to form flag lines at both entrances. In addition to the many US flags, an Air Force Flag, an all First Responders Flag & a Law Enforcement Flag were proudly held by the 22 PGR patriots.
We were joined by 2 new members & 2 riders all the way from Houston.
We always feel proud & honored to be invited to be there for the family but this was extra special because of her being a member of our own Georgetown Police Department.
None of us know what happens after death, but most of us believe that the tragedy of your 2 dogs dying in the fire last week, they are now with U. Rest in peace Michelle.

12 fellow patriots stood in the heat today to honor this Marine & Williamson County sheriff’s officer. A very large contingent of LEOs was present as well. Family came out to personally thank each one of us & to tell me more about Mr. Giles. We all knew he was born at a Marine base but what we did not know. was his dad was also a Marine. (a drill instructor) Guess we now know how he came to be a Marine & a decorated member of the Sheriff’s Department.
    RIP Sir

The morning was hot as 6 members stood to honor MSGT Velasquez. The FH advised us there would be a large turn out & there was. We moved our bikes to parallel an exit curb which was much better for everyone.
Taylor PD led the procession to the cemetery where we stood another flag line. Full military honors were rendered including a live Taps. Thanks to all for your tremendous patriotism. U are the best.

On a refreshingly cool morning, 8 members stood proudly for Mr. Heckman & his wife & family. In speaking with Mr. Ramsey of the FH, he related how the wife personally requested the PGR far ahead of time. Mrs. Hechman, it was our total honor to stand for your husband. Thank you for allowing us to be with all of you today.

As family & friends gathered to say goodbye to Gerald, 9 Austin Area PGR stood a flag line to honor him & his family. Many stopped by to tell us how much it meant to them that we were doing what we were doing. Even a total stranger stopped when he saw our flags. The emotion in his voice while telling us how much it meant to him to see such a super patriotic display of flags was very touching to us. Love of country, flag & America is alive & well in Georgetown.

After the service, we joined an LEO escort to Capital Parks cemetery in Pflugerville where we again formed a flag line. At the conclusion of Military honors & a pastoral message, we returned to our bikes & preformed a “Last Rev” because Gerald was also a rider. I’m sure he must of heard the roar of our engines.

A big thank U to all who honored this veteran in this special way.

    Rest in eternal peace Sir.

Today was election day and 10 patriots showed up to show their respect for this WW II veteran who helped ensure we could continue to be free. Thank U Mr. Walker for being there when our nation called. Glen's son & many others took the time to thank everyone of us. It was truly our honor.
Other than a mishap between 2 of the cycles while parking, the day was again special.

When KB asked for the PGR, there was no hesitation. 11 of us plus KB arrived to show our respect. Once it was established which entrance was to be used, we formed a flag line all along the front on the outside of the driveway under the portico. Literally hundreds of firefighters in uniform with several walking our line to thank us.
2 new riders to AUSPGR stood with us. One from Fredericksburg & the other a retired Austin Firefighter. I know we will see U again. Thanks everyone for the gift of your presents & the show of respect.

All missions are special BUT this one is extra special because of what happen to this young veteran. Shot & murdered just 8 days after being discharged. We don't know all the details but needless to say, we all grieve for & pray for the family

It was truly an honor for all of us to be a part of Jonathan's memorial. Along with several members of the Patriot Guard Riders there was also a large contingent of riders from the US VETERANS MC club who not only stood 2 flag lines & an escort but took the time to approach the casket to render honors at the end of the service. Many people don't understand what we riding patriots do, but it goes without saying, the families of these fallen heroes do.

Thanks to Flag Wrangler Don for the extra flags staged at the church & the cemetery. That really helps show everyone that a hero patriot is being honored. I am blessed to be a part of such a fine group of American Patriots. Thanks to everyone who attended.

The weather may have been hot today, but 8 super patriots stood a flag line in front of the church for My Zavala & his family. The clouds & wind sure did help. We then relocated to the cemetery & stood another flag line for the interment. The letter above is why what we do is so important. Thank U all so much. RIP Sir.

What an absolutely amazing event. Over 70 riders showed up to ride in honor of Mr. Sanchez. As he stood up, we rode 3 abreast past him all the while honking horns & revering our motors. It was quite a a scene. Behind us came a fire truck, police cars, a corvette club, many many decorated vehicles. We went to the end of the street, turned around came back down the other side of the street & parked. There were many presentations including one from the French Consulate. I also presented a PGR card signed by over 70 of us.
HAPPY 100TH MR SANCHEZ & God Bless U for your service.

After a long 2 month Stand Down, we finally got back in the saddle. And what a mission to be the 1st. We limited ourselves to just 7 flag bikes because of covid-19 & that also allow us to be a part of the on site airport recovery. The hour long ride was a tear jerker ride, seeing the little groups of people standing along side the road, many holding flags and a lot of older, presumably former military codgers (like some of us) standing at attention and holding a salute for the entire procession.  Young, old, black, white and brown all represented, the way it should be.  Interesting seeing  trucks parked in the middle of a hay field with no one else close by except the Mom and Pop with their flags.  It was a pretty moving ride.
It was a good mission and I am glad we were there. It was definitely one to remember.  Having all big flag bikes was good.  It looked great.
Thanks to Soup & Ralph for adding their thoughts to this After Mission Report.
May the God who watches over all of us be with Hunter's family as they go through this time.

The church overflowed as 9 of us stood in honor of "Sarge". Along with the regulars, new PGR member Patie Pyle joined with us today. Welcome aboard,n glad to have U with us. Thanks to Max who fought heavy traffic to deliver us flags all the way from San Marcos.

On one of the shortest notices ever, 8 patriots still managed to get there and stand in the flag line for Mr. Wolf. In addition, 5 of us were recruited to be pall bearers. It shows once again why it is so important for us to be there. thank U guys.

The term Semper Gumby came into play again today as 14 fellow patriots stood in honor & respect for MSG Sharp & his family. Flags were staked at the main entrance & driveway but we were informed that the the service was to be held in the Chapel not the Sanctuary but the family would be entering by way of the main entrance. When they did not show, we moved to the other side of the building to the Chapel entrance. Turns out. they came to the Chapel entrance instead. Shortly after the start of the service, the family & friends came outside. for the presentation of the rifle volley & taps. After they all returned inside, we departed quietly.
Thanks again to a super job by Flag Wrangler, Don. And Welcome to new member Butch. Thanks also to SC. PGR member, John who took time out of his vacation. Another big thanks goes to Page & Don for staying on the main side just in case.
You all are super for helping families get through this time in their lives.
