Price III, 40, KIA, US Army, Cameron, TX, 27 AUG 2011 #3379keithlongacreModeratorOnce again, you men & women of the PGR have shown your best for one of our fallen heros & his family. In one of the hottest days of the year, U stood firm in the flag line. It never ceases to amaze me how much U are willing to go through to render such amazing respect & honors. U make an incredible difference in the lives of those we serve. Thank U is just not enough for what U do, but THANK U, THANK U, THANK U!
We had 59 bikes & 6 cages. Members came from as far away as Houston & Beeville with units from Austin, Centex & Brazos Valley. We even had a GOLD STAR MOM stand tall with us inspite of how difficult it was for her. We are all very proud of you & all GS parents that stand our ranks.
Again, Thank you all so very much especially from those of us who are VN vets.August 25, 2011 at 7:00 pm in reply to: MSG Charles L. keithlongacreModeratorA big THANK U to the 6 that went to Burnet from Austin PGR. At the church, there was about 40 bikes plus several cages. My brother from Burnet, rode his first KIA funeral procession & like all of us, was moved so much when he saw all the people along the road.
As it turned out, I was able to get to Pflugerville for the grave side part of the Austin mission.
Thanks again everyone. UR super.keithlongacreModerator14 riders showed up at Austin stagging today. And @ the Burnet stagging there was 44 bikes several cages & a ton of civilians. Those of U who experienced a small town reception for a fallen hero for the first time, I'm sure had a most moving ride.
Thank you all for taking the time to show the family & town folks what honering & respect is all about.
Hope to see many of you there Wed as we will again stage at 183 & 29. (0800)
We will head for the Austin mission as soon as the grave side part is completed.June 7, 2011 at 2:32 am in reply to: MSG William Best (Ret), 80, US Army Vietnam Veteran, Austin, TX 08 JUN 2011 #3275keithlongacreModeratorAny Austin riders who wish to attend both the KIA & MSG missions, checki the time line. My plan is to immediately head to the church in Austin as soon as we break from the intermen in Lampasas. That will put us at the church around 1:30 give or take. If it's much later, than we will go directly to the cemetery.

We had 35 PGR at the funeral home with all but 12 going on ahead to establish a flag line at the church. The 12, escorded the family & LTC Nelson to the church.
Thanks too to the 6 who stayed at the church to be pall bearers for LTC Nelson's ride back to the funeral home for later transportation to Arlington National Cemetery. -
