The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand at a Memorial service for William Michael Walker 63, U.S. Army. Mike served in Vietnam and earned the rank of Specialist 4. His obituary may be seen here:

Location: Crofts Crow Funeral Home, 305 E. Elm St, Johnson City, Tx
Directions: We will stage at the funeral home. For those riders who are going from Austin, take US 290 to Hwy 281, turn right on Hwy 281/290 and go to Johnson City. It is about 38 miles to the funeral home. See the map link for directions to the funeral home. The flag truck plans on leaving from Jim’s Restaurant at the “Y” in Oak Hill (290 & 71 Hwys) at 1:00pm, going to the funeral home if anyone wants to follow him down. ETA Johnson City 1:45pm.

Notes: Start hydrating the day before and bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend. This will be a flag line only prior to the service. Once the service begins, we will depart quietly.

March 1, 2015 at 1:57 pm #4617markwellsKeymasterMany thanks to the dozen PGR that braved the sub freezing temps and icy roads to make it to Johnson City for SP4 Walker's service yesterday.
The family was moved and very appreciative. As is always the case, we made a difference.
