This Mission is now complete. There were 4 Bikes, 2 Trikes, 3 Cages with 11 members in attendance. One member today had ridden with the PGR before but this was his first Mission with the Austin PGR. Soup presented him with a "Mission Accomplished" pin to welcome him to the Group. As our newest "RC in Training" Soup Campbell took charge of the Mission and did an excellent job. He has my support for sure. Also doing a great job as usual were Nicki as Flag Wrangler and Patsy who did double duty as my helper and Soup's helper during the Mission. A special Thank You to both of you Ladies.

We had a request from Lonnie Deans family for a "Special Departure" as we were leaving the Memorial. Earlier I had told the FD that once the Memorial started we would "Quietly" depart. Just before the Memorial started the FD came out and told us that Mrs. Dean wanted us to, in her words, "Let Her Rip because Lonnie would love it." They waited to hear us leaving as a start to the Memorial. Thank you Mrs. Dean and RIP Lonnie Dean.

Thank you to all in attendance today. I appreciate each and every one of you. I hope all made it safely back home.

A young Lady who rode up with her Father from San Marcos. "Mission Accomplished". Thanks to both of you for joining us today. Thank you Mark for leading the group up from the Austin area and to each of you that rode with him and to Jim for caging it up for this Mission. Nicki thanks for "Wrangling" Flags. Also Warren thank you for the Blessing of Harvey and our group. Last but definitely not least, I want to think Patsy for all her help today. You made my job a lot easier.

Several of the Family members and attendees of the Memorial expressed their appreciation for our attendance today. It truly is an Honor to be invited to help them through these difficult times.

I hope everyone made it home safe and sound.

Part Two of the Mission is now complete. We had 10 souls in the Flag line and the community turn out was great. Once the Ceremony started we struck the flag line so our members could attend the Ceremony if they wanted. Most of them did attend and it was pretty much standing room only.
Thank you to all attending today and I hope all made the trip home without incident. Also, Wrangler Don, what can I say. Another great job of having our flags where they needed to be when we needed them there.
Thanks again to ALL of you,

Part One of this Mission is complete. We had 3 bikes, 1 trike and 1 cage in attendance. The Patriot Guard escorted the "Remembering Our Fallen" van and one 'Gold Star" Mother to the Lakeside Pavilion in a procession of many Firetrucks, other Fire Dept vehicles and Law Enforcement personnel. It was about a 10 minute ride from the staging area to the pavilion. The weather was great and of course with all the law Enforcement present, The Road Was all Ours.
Thank you to all who attended today. I hope everyone made it back home safely and looking forward to seeing everyone at the Ceremony on Monday Sept. 11th.

The East Lake Fellowship Church where he was Pastor at the time of his passing over flowed with Family and friends. Many of those attending personally thanked each Patriot Guard member present today.

I also want to thank our PGR members present this morning. We had 9 members with 6 bikes, 1 trike and 2 cages attending. A special thanks to Don for bringing the Flags. I hope each and every one of you made it safely back home.

Part 1 of this mission was completed as planned on Friday (14th) at the VFW in Burnet. The group carrying Bill's cremains from Moore, Oklahoma were met in Jarrell by members of the Austin PGR. Two Austin RC's, Mark Wells and Terry Ayers, led the group on it's final leg from Moore and arrived at the Burnet VFW right on time as scheduled at 5:00pm. The group consisted of 9 bikes and 2 cages. They were greeted by a Flag Line of 8 PGR members upon arrival. Once Bill and his Family were inside, the Flag Line was dismissed and invited to join Bill's Family and friends for stories of Bill's life and a nice meal furnished by the VFW. On several occasions the Family expressed their appreciation for the PGR and told us how much it meant to Bill. He meant a lot to the Patriot Guard as well.

I want to thank everyone who was there to show your support for Bill's Family and friends, and to the Family for inviting us to help make sure that Bill got the "Final Ride" he requested. Thank you Don for doing another great job of "Flag Wrangling". I hope all made it back home safe and sound.

Bill was a great man and was loved by all that knew him. He will be missed. May god Bless.

A special Thanks to Sam for Wrangling Flags today and to Keith for Accompanying the Family from their residence to the Funeral Home. Keith had a chance to talk personally with some of the Family members before leaving their residence and after the Mission told us how much it meant to the Family to have the Patriot Guard there today. We do make a difference. Thank you all again and I hope all made it safely back home.

This Mission is now complete. I want to thank the seven souls that came to Burnet from the Austin Area to help make this Mission successful. A big thank you to Flag Wrangler "JC" and to Sam for getting all the information together and sending out notices. The day started out cold and wet then "improved" to "just plain Cold" by Noon. Appreciation for the PGR and our presence at the Memorial\Birthday party for Sidney was conveyed to us by his Widow plus many Family members and Friends. They were truly as Honored that we were there as we were Honored by being invited to be there. His 82nd Birthday was today and the Party had already been planed. So at his request the Party went on as scheduled, Complete with a the cake saying "Happy Birthday". Rest in Peace Senior Master Sergeant Sidney E. Allen.

This Mission is now complete. There were 5 bikes, 1 trike and two cages with a total of 9 souls attending including "Yours Truly". The Family was very appreciative.

I had a chance to talk with many locals that personally knew Phil and all spoke very highly of him and talked of what a kind and giving person he was. Below is a quote from his Obituary:

"He was the owner of Anderson Locksmith in Marble Falls, Texas. As a locksmith, he rarely charged the elderly, handicapped, veterans or spouse of military men in service."

Thank you to everyone who attended the Memorial today. I hope all made it safely back home. It is you that make our Missions possible and successful. Once again thank you and thank you Mr. Anderson for being the loving, caring person you were.
    Rest in Peace.

    This event is now complete.

I want to thank all that showed their support today at the Armed Forces Appreciation Day in Llano. We had 16 in attendance including one young local man who asked to stand the Flag Line with us. I talked to him after the Ceremony to tell him "Thanks for joining our Flag Line" and he told me that he will be signing up as soon as he Graduates and his goal was to be a Navy Seal. He was very well mannered and showed respect for those who have gone this way before him in every way. In this day and time it is moments like these that let me know what we are doing does make a difference.

There were 16 in attendance which included 4 cages, 1 trike, 7 bikes, and the young man I just mentioned.

The Llano County population at this time is a little over 19,000. There are 58 young men and women from here on active duty at this time with many more who have served and separated. There has been two KIA's from Llano County since July of 2007.

Thank you to all who came to Llano for this event and a special Thanks to Bob Binkley for assisting and "Wrangling" the Flags for today. Anyone who knows Bob knows that he is always the first one there. Well, being as this event was in my home county I thought I had a chance of being there when Bob got there. It did not happen.

    Thank You All,

    TC
