This mission is now complete. There was a total of 110 bikes and trikes with 4 cages. As with the airport recovery part of this mission I did not get an individual total of each group but there were a lot of first time riders with us, some active duty military, Blue Star family members and 2 Gold Star family members present, and there were several M\Clubs that joined our ranks. Thanks to all of you for attending this mission and God Bless. I hope all made it safely back home.

I want to thank all of our members and RC's present that helped me with various duties throughout the day. For fear of overlooking someone I will not try to name you individually but I truly do appreciate each and everyone of you and your help. All of us working together in harmony for the good of our soldiers and their families is what makes the Patriot Guard so special to me. It's all about them and we know it. To my knowledge there were no major incidents or issues and with a group of this size that is an accomplishment in itself.

Once again Thank You for attending and letting Spc. Jone's Family know that America Does Care.
    God Bless,

The Airport Recovery part of this mission is now complete. What a turn out it was. We had 80 bikes and trikes plus 4 cages. There is no way to put into words the outpouring of love and support shown for this young soldier and his Family by the communities of Horseshoe Bay, Cottonwood Shores and Marble Falls along the procession route. From the Airport to the Funeral Home was an almost continuous line of people sometimes 2 and 3 deep. All of the local Fire Departments and Law enforcement Agencies were represented and were there in full force. As usual our Patriot Guard Riders were Top Notch. I did not get an actual count on each group but we had quiet a few first time riders, some active duty and some Blue Star Family members among us. And here again I did not get a actual count but we had members of several well established Motorcycle Clubs join us in the Airport Recovery and procession.
Thanks to our DSC's present, Marebare and Robert and to all of the RC's present who helped me throughout this part of the mission. A big Thank You to Bob Binkley who answered a last minute plea for a Flag Wrangler. And thank you to every single person who rode with us yesterday, be it person or in spirit. You all made my job a lot easier and as for as I know there were no major incidents or issues. Semper Gumby was the rule of the day as it is most of the time, but with everyone working for the good of Spc. Jones and his Family it all came together to give them the support they truly need.
God Bless Spc. Jones and his Family and thanks again to all who made this part of the mission a success.
I love you guys and gals and I am so proud to be a part of you,

I just wanted to let everyone know that Juan and I delivered the Patriot Guard Plaque to PO Lundy's Family today at Noon. Ramona Fowler (Brian's Mother) told us a lot about Brian and the type of young man he was. She said she will miss him dearly and that she finds strength in the fact that he was doing exactly what he loved and wanted to do. She also told us that she was very impressed with the Patriot Guard and truly appreciated us being there for Brian. Brian was also a rider and she said he would have been overwhelmed at all of the bikes there in his Honor.
Thanks again to all who made it happen. And Thanks Juan for going with me today.

After Mission Report. Once again I want to Thank every single person and soul that attended this Mission for Petty officer Brian K. Lundy. The respect and professionalism that you displayed at the Mission made my job a lot easier. The bike\trike count that I got was 42 but I think 2 or 3 more came in after the count so I'll go with 45. Bob handed out 39 flags for both flag lines. There were roughly 10 to 12 people that were doing other duties and walking the line instead of standing it so I'm guessing about 50 souls in attendance. We had two Gold Star family members present, one of which was also a Blue Star family member. May God Bless Them and I Thank them for joining us on this Mission for PO Brian Lundy.
Now I am going to do something that frankly scares the hell out of me. I want to give a special thank you to a lot of people who always go "Above and Beyond the Call of Duty" on these Missions. The reason I am scared is that I may (probably will) over look someone. So if I do please chalk it up to a "Senior Moment" on my part and forgive me in advance. Let me start with Bob for wrangling the Flags. For once I actually beat Bob to a Staging site. Not by much, but I beat him there. To Juan for taking charge of accompanying the Funeral Coach from Cook Walden Funeral Home to the Sweet Home Baptist Church and to Rita, Terry and Mark for joining Juan in this. Again to Juan and Terry for each taking charge of a Flagline, (there were two) and staying with the lines until breakdown. To Ron And Robert for leading the group in the procession to CTSVC in Killeen. To Russ for getting the Community support going and all the other things he helped with on this Mission. To Frank for getting all the notices and information out for both Austin and Centex Websites. To David for doing all he does at the CTSVC on way too many Missions to count, including this one. To Mary, Robert, and Mark for doing all you do, most of which no one ever knows about. You guys make it all click and everything the rest of us does is a reflection of your leadership. If I overlooked somebody(and I have a bad feeling that I did) please forgive me. Bring it to my attention and Lunch will be on me.
I'm not sure if anyone outside the Patriot Guard will see this, but I would also like to commend the Round Rock Police Dept.; Travis County Sheriff's Dept.; and the Austin Police Dept. for their participation in the Funeral Ceremony and for an outstanding job of escorting the Funeral Procession to Killeen. Thank you to Rebbeca from Cook Walden Funeral Home in Pflugerville and to Emma from the Sweet Home Baptist Church in Round Rock for all your patients and assistance in helping me get the information I needed for planning this Mission. And Finally, Thank You to KVUE Channel 24 and KEYE Channel 42 for being there to let the people know that another young soldier from this area has paid the ultimate price for our freedoms.

The Visitation and Interment for Sgt. Sewell is now complete. One count I recieved was 30 bikes and trikes plus 3 cages. We started the Mission with 2 first time riders and had 2 more join us before leaving the Funeral Home. Riders came from every direction of the State with one joining us from Del Rio. The weather was getting hot even early on, but with plenty of water and with a 15 minute rotation on the Flag line it worked out well.
The Funeral Home was overwhelmed with Family and Friends of Sgt. Sewell. It was obvious that he was well liked and admired by many. Two of the young soldiers there were in the vehicle with him when they encountered the IED.
Once again the Hamilton community showed their love and respect for a young Soldier they never knew. I have driven through Hamilton many times traveling North or South on US Highway 281, but I will never pass through it again with out thinking of Sgt. Sewell and the great folks of Hamilton.
Upon arrival at the Cemetery we were under the direction of Harry"hacksaw" Morton who did a great job of having everything ready to go and planned out. It all went without a hitch.
Thank you to everyone who attended either or both portions of the Missions for Sgt. Sewell. To everyone who was there in Spirit and anyone who helped in anyway whatsoever. Without you it wouldn't happen. Your dedication to our Veterans, our Troops and our Missions is beyond words.
    Thank You all.

The Airport Recovery for Sgt. Glenn Sewell is now complete. Thank you to all who attended this part of the Mission for Sgt. Sewell. We had an "Unofficial" count of 39 bikes and trikes plus 4 cages with several riding 2 up. We had first time riders, Active duty military riders, and riders from a major portion of this Great State of ours. I spoke with the Mother and the Father. Both expressed their deepest gratitude for our attendance and for what we are doing for our Fallen Heroes. They both wanted me to make sure that everyone there knew that.
And what can I say about the residence of Hamilton. They went all out, as somehow I felt like they would. After we were finished at the Funeral Home and I was giving sort of a "debriefing" and Thanking all for being there, one Lady who lives in Hamilton came up to us with tears in her eyes. She started off by saying "on behalf of the people of Hamilton I want to Thank you for being there today and for doing what we are doing." She went on to say that although Sgt. Sewell was not from Hamilton and most of the people there did not know him, that didn't matter. He fought and died for the folks from Hamilton and every one else in this country. She thanked us again then walked away. God Bless these small towns through out America. They know what patriotism and respect all about.
I hope to see many of you there tomorrow if you can make it. I feel like the people from Hamilton will be out in full force again and Sgt. Sewell deserves nothing less.
    Thanks everyone,
    TC

Both Portions of this Mission are now complete. At the Airport Recovery yesterday (June 7th) the count was 44 Bikes and Trikes with many of those being "Double Up". Semper Gumby was a key player since the plane was about 5 minutes early and the last of the Flag Line was just getting in place as Kallita touched down. The City of Burnet was out in full force. Hwy 281 was completely shut down for the procession from the Airport to the Funeral Home with citizens lining both sides of the route from start to finish.
At the Funeral today we had 38 Bikes and Trikes and a couple of cages. Many of Anthony's friends and citizens from around the community were there today and many were visibly emotional over his death. This young Soldier was only 19 years old, but he had obviously matured well beyond that. Here is a partial quote from his Funeral Program pamphlet. " He never met anyone who didn't need a hug from him, and there was nothing better than an Anthony hug. He not only loved his Country, he loved Texas with a passion. He was a remarkable soldier, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He will be missed by many."

I want to Thank everyone who attended one or both parts of this mission and those there in spirit. I also want to Thank everyone who helped me accomplish both parts of this mission. You may not feel like what you did was all that important, but it was to me and it helped make it all turn out well.
And Thanks again for doing what you do,

Thanks Keith and to all who came to Burnet today for the Airport Recovery portion of this mission. I know there were probably even more that wanted to come but could not and were there with us in Spirit. I hope all made it home safely and I know I will see a lot of you again tomorrow. Thanks for doing what you do.

Once again the Patriot Guard has made me proud to be a part of it.
Thanks again to everyone for doing the Right thing.
A special Thank you to Keith for leading our members in the procession and to Dick for help with the folding and Presentation of the Flag. We met the Semper Gumby challenge again.

I went to this mission today. The count I heard was 94 bikes\trikes plus the City and the residents of Hondo were out in full force. Somehow I knew they would be. This is what "Small Town Texas" does for their heroes.
RC Jimmy Dixon and the young Flag Wrangler (who's name I did not get) did a great job of making all the "Semper Gumby" moments work out. Thanks to all who attended this and any other Patriot Guard mission today. As we all know, It's the right thing to do.
God Bless Spc. Charles Wren. May he Rest in Peace.
