Six patriots stood the flag line for SP4 Mayfield. Nicki posted flags at the main entrance and a couple to mark the route to the chapel. Keith, Nicki and myself were there to render honors when the hearse arrived and were invited to help move the casket and flowers to the chapel. This was a very well attended service, a testament to SP4 Mayfield’s service to his community in addition to his military service. Many attendees offered “thanks” for our participation. The flag line stood down a few minutes after the service started.
RIP SP4 McKinley Mayfield, IIIELEVEN patriots participated in this mission. Nicki arrived early and posted flags at all the entrances to the church parking lots. The flag line was formed at 2 of the 3 entrances to the chapel. Many of the friends and family expressed appreciation for our participation. LTC Jindra’s son, Commander Brian Jindal, made a special effort to personally thank each person in the flag line. The flag line stood down after the service started and our members quietly departed.
RIP LTC Mike “Buzzard” JindraGood turn out to honor this hero. Max was there early to post flags and had the bikes all lined up when I arrived. We had strong support from the San Antonio and Centex PGR. Thanks. There were 12 riders in the flag line. Max posted a 4 rider flag line at the rear entrance a little early so as to be in place when family arrived and the rest were posted at the main entrance. After the family arrived those 4 joined the rest at the main entrance until the servece started. The son and daughter of the hero made a special effort to come out and thank us for being there. We had 8 riders in the procession to the FSH Cemetery. The escort was provided by 4 vehicles from the Hays County Constable and was superb. We were stuck in stop and go traffic on 35 for 20-30 minutes, but made it in time. The "always ready" SA PGR was waiting for us at the shelter with flags and water and a large contingent of riders for the flag line. Thanks to all for showing up to honor MSgt Turner. Special shout out to Dave on his trifecta!!
Three riders stood the flag line today. Nicki arrived early and staked flags at the entrance. Special thanks to Keith who showed up and relieved me of RC duties so I could leave early for the Kyle mission. Keith was the lone rider in the procession as Dave departed for the Kyle mission after the flag line. Two in the flag line at the cemetery but Nicki had flags staked around the site. Keith departed for the Florence mission after the cemetery portion. Nicki received multiple thanks you's from people while she was loading up the flags.
Beautiful day for the service for SSG Bruciaga. Nicki was there early and had a couple of flags posted out front for the funeral service and also at the cemetery. We had 6 bikes, a trike and a cage. There were 9 people in the flag line. Early morning temps dipped into the high forties in most places, so everyone was wide awake. Several friends and relatives took time to express their appreciation for our participation in the services.The LEO escort was superb, as usual. Soup Campbell.
Great mission today. 25 bikes. 28 people in the flag line. 4 volunteers left staging early to go make sure the flag line was in place for the arrival of SGT Guzman. Thank you. Nicki and the volunteers who left the staging early did a good job of getting flags to other attendees so that there was a flag line nearly the whole length of the driveway when the Guzman family arrived. Upon arrival, our riders relieved the non PGR members of their flags and our flag line re-grouped around the perimeter of the shelter. There was no socializing due to COVID restrictions, so after Sgt. Guzman raised the flag in front of his new house, we stood down the flag line and riders departed. Special thanks to the Hays County Sheriff's Dept.. for being there to escort us on this mission. Great job. A special thanks to Deputy Bruce Harlan who met with us last Tues. and briefed us on the conduct of the procession. Thanks to Chappy for not letting me forget it and for leading us in prayer to start the mission. Thanks also to Shaquanta Bailey "Q" who granted every request we made in order to get our part done as smoothly as possible. Last but not least a big thanks to all the riders who showed up ready honor this hero today…………with masks and everything! It was a great day.
We had 2 bikes and a trike for this mission. Mrs. LaBorde came to our staging area when she arrived at the funeral home to thank us for being there. Her husband was an avid rider. It was a small procession and all went smoothly. I was surprised as we approached the cemetery and there was no flag line at the entrance as expected. Turns out the procedures have changed and Centex was allowed at the shelter. We joined their flag line until the end of the ceremony.
It was a beautiful day to be out for a ride in central Texas and exercise the great privilege of honoring MMCS Henry Hubbard. We have not had much mission practice since the beginning of the Corona Virus crisis and this mission was a little unusual on paper giving it the appearance of what might be the ultimate semper gumby. Meeting the procession at a midway point along the route rather than the starting point and being unsure of what to expect at the Centex Cemetery, i.e. wether or not we would be allowed inside the gate under Corona protocol were a couple of issues that were of concern that turned out to be non-issues as the mission proceeded. Six big flag riders showed up which was a perfect number since there was not an LEO escort. We were able to park just inside the gate, dismount and quickly stage to render honors as the hearse passed enroute to the committal shelter. The family expressed heart felt appreciation for our presence which was especially important since they were not able to obtain normral military honors due to Corona Virus restrictions. Thanks to everyone who showed and for your patience as we sorted out the details of the mission. Having the centex riders form a flag line at the gate was a real plus in my opinion. While it may be do to Corona Virus now it would be something to consider for future missions. Good work CENTEX.
It was a beautiful warm day in Albert, Texas for the graveside service for MCPO Schupp. We had 13 members in the flag line. There were 11 bikes and a cage. Nicki arrived early and staked flags at the entrance. The sons, daughters and grandson of Master Chief Schupp and many friends, expressed their sincere thanks for our presence. Their expressions of gratitude were heart warming for our members and often included the phrase "we cannot thank you enough for being here". There was an overflow crowd at this small country cemetery with some forced to park out on the highway. It was great to see so many people honoring this hero and it was indeed an honor for us to be part of it. RIP MCPO Schupp.
It was a beautiful day and we had a magnificent turn out. It was one of those double edge sword sort of missions. It was sad to find out that our hero was the Dad of one of our own, Chuck Wilson, whom we had ridden with on a few missions over there in the eastern part of our jurisdiction, but we had to be happy that we could be there to honor his Dad. Clearly he was appreciative of our efforts.
We had 16 in the flag line, which included 2 from the South East Texas PGR. There were 10 of our members on bikes and the rest in cages. Another highlight of this mission was the opportunity to visit with members of rider groups such as The Thin Blue Line and BAB, Bikers against Bullies. While our missions are not exactly the same, they overlap in one area and that is to "honor those who serve our country".
A special thanks to Chuck for staking out flags at the entrance. There were 10, they appeared brand new and looked beautiful waving in the light breeze.
It was a good mission and thanks to all who attended. We ask God's blessing on Chuck and his family and may his father Richard Lloyd "Papa" Wilkinson RIP.
We had 6 bikes escorted by the Hays County Deputy Constable and a Deputy Sheriff to lead SGT Guzman and his family from staging to VFW Post 6441 on Jacobs Well Road. We had ample time to visit with SGT Guzman and his family prior to departure from staging which was really nice. Six riders who were in cages volunteered to leave early to help Nicki and also to make sure a flag line was present for our arrival. That worked out really nice. Thanks volunteers. HFOT coordinator “Q” Bailey set aside some parking spots for our bikes we requested during our meeting with her on Friday and it worked out really nice. We were able to dismount and get flags from the flag truck before all the people got inside for the ceremony. The fact that the parking lot was new asphalt facilitated expeditious parking. We joined the folks in the flag line outside and moved the flag line inside. There was a total of 16 members in the flag line and that number filled the back wall of the VFW Hall perfectly. At the conclusion of the ceremony, many members stayed and enjoyed pizza with the participants. Thanks to DSC Bob Johnson and his members from San Antonio who showed for this mission. We couldn’t have filled that back wall without ya. Thanks to the VFW their generous hospitality and for making a special trip out to unlock the facility on Friday so we could scope it out and make our plan for the event. Ms. “Q” Bailey was a really great person to work with. She met with Nicki and I on Friday to scope out the facility and that helped us know exactly what to expect. SGT Guzman was a hero fit for the occasion and we look forward to seeing him again at the “KEY” ceremony next summer.
Fourteen PGR members showed up on yet another beautiful, crisp Saturday morning in Smithville to honor MSgt Jerry Glenn Martin USAF RET. We had 7 bikes and the rest caged it. The number of riders we had allowed us to cover 3 entrances to the church used by attendees. Most attendees acknowledged our participation with comments of thanks and a couple of "looking good". We received gracious thank you's from daughters Rebecca and Lisa and an invite to a fish fry after the service. Several of our riders departed asap after the flag line stood down so they could make the second mission of the day in Buda. Hats off the those for their dedication to our mission. RIP loyal and faithful servant MSgt Jerry Glenn Martin.

Eight PGR members stood for “SARGE” on Saturday. Three bikers braved the 38 degree temps and the rest caged it. It warmed up quickly and turned out to be a beautiful crisp day in a very special setting at the Colorado Cowboy Church. We recognized Jim, (the son) a long time PGR member and current rider as soon as he arrived. He and his wife Tracy were very thankful that we could be there and appreciated our small token of respect for his Dad and his service to our country. Jim and the American Legion Post 533 invited us all to eat at the Post in Bastrop after the service. The leadership of the Colorado Cowboy Church were very cordial and appreciative of our presence. RIP loyal, faithful servant James Roy (Sarge) Warren.
Seven Patriot Guard Riders showed for this mission. There were 3 bikes and 3 cages. Nicki arrived early and had flags staked at the entrance. It was hot and sticky but fortunately we were able to keep the flag line in the shade. We were acknowledged by nearly every arriving guest. Mrs. Mowdy and her son both expressed their sincere appreciation for our participation in this memorial service. RIP Sailor.

Several family members expressed profound appreciation for our presence at this mission. Three bikes accompanied the procession to the McNeill Cemetery. There was no LEO escort and a lot of traffic but the procession progressed with no problems. There was a stiff headwind and we were glad to arrive at the cemetery with all our flags. San Antonio PGR greeted us at the cemetery with flags and water. Thanks Seadog & Chappy. As always, it was a great honor to stand for this hero. RIP John David Folkes.
