Thanks to the 18 riders and 5 cages from the Austin and Killeen areas who attended this mornings service for Charles Braun. We also had 3 first mission riders from Jarrell.
The family was pleased that we could attend and show our respect for their contributions to our country. Many left the dryness of the tent to come stand in the rain and shake our hands.
I hope everyone arrived home safely and did not get too wet.
    Thanks for what you do………

Be Advised that the funeral and interment portion of this mission in San Antonio on Friday is a stand down. Below is a portion of the notification from San Antonio PGR:
    _________________________________________
Ms. Pena is very, very appreciative of our participation in the recovery mission on Tuesday and wants us for the memorial in San Marcos on Thursday. However, the last week and a half, involving the loss of her only child, has understandably been very overwhelming for her.

The funeral and interment will have a large attendance. She has asked us to not participate on Friday, so that the funeral and the cemetery services can be smaller in scope for the family and friends of Captain Pena..

    We will honor her request.
    _______________________________________

Again, we are still on for Thursday in San Marcos. Please see top of this thread for details.

Thank you for all you do for our fallen warriors.

National PGR furnishes a nice plaque to the familly of KIA's and usually arrives well after the funeral services are concluded.
Cody's plaque was hand delivered to his parents, Bob and Wendy Stanley, and his grandmother, Ann Stanley, yesterday in Lockhart
    Tx.
They were grateful to all who stood for their son / grandson and appreciated the sentiments extended to them by the plaque.
Thanks again for what you do…..

    Will be there.

Although his "jumps" in life may have been tough – all his landings in eternity will be soft.
