Mr. Charles O. Braun 82, of Georgetown, TX passed away on January 24, 2010, and his family has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in his services.
Mr. Braun is a veteran of the U.S. Marines and served from 1946 to 1948. More information can be seen at http://www.ramseyfuneral.com/obituaries–memorials.aspxVisitation is Wed., 27 Jan, from 6 – 8 pm, at Ramsey Funeral Home, 5600 Williams Dr, Georgetown, TX 78633.
Services will be Thur., 28 Jan, 10:30 am at St. Peter Lutheran Church, FM 972 and FM 1105 in Walburg, TX.
Interment will follow at the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Walburg.Austin Staging:

Directions: From IH35 northbound, take exit 268 for FM 972, Walburg. At the stop sign turn right (east) on FM 972, proceed 3 miles. Church is on the left.Timeline:

Briefing: 9:50 am, with flag line established NLT 10:00 amWeather: Current forecast is for highs in the mid 60's, winds from the S/E 10-15 mph, 90% chance of rain with slight chance of thunderstorms.
Check this again prior to your departure.Notes: Arrive fed and hydrated, with necessary gear for the wx. Parking is limited at the church, and a crowd is expected. At the conclusion of the funeral service we will participate in a short procession (1.5 miles) to the small cemetery, were we will be parking in grass covered black dirt. You may want to consider bringing a side stand pad since it may be very wet. As always, Semper Gumby!
Mr. Charles Braun's wife passed away about 60 days ago, so these family members have lost their mother and father in that short time. I am positive they will appreciate all the support we can give them during a very rough time in their lives.

January 28, 2010 at 9:16 pm #2456markwellsKeymasterThanks to the 18 riders and 5 cages from the Austin and Killeen areas who attended this mornings service for Charles Braun. We also had 3 first mission riders from Jarrell.
The family was pleased that we could attend and show our respect for their contributions to our country. Many left the dryness of the tent to come stand in the rain and shake our hands.
I hope everyone arrived home safely and did not get too wet.
