SGT Jordan Folmar And family were able to see their new home today. He enlisted in the Army as an Infantryman. Sgt Folmar serve two tours in Afghanistan 2009 again in 2012. On his second tour SGT Folmar stepped on an improvised explosive device (IED) and lost both legs above the knees. Jordan spent several years undergoing surgeries, rehabilitation, physical therapy, and learning how to use prosthetics at Walter Reed Medical Center. He needed a home that would aid him to get around.
Homes for our troops (HFOT) donor came through with giving a fully adapted home for Jordan. He will be able to use his wheelchair throughout the house. Jordan is a man that won’t quit. He is a stay at home Dad and also is a baker for his and his wife Amanda’s cookie business.
Over 150 plus people were present at the ceremony. Ten PGR were present for the event. We had Liberty Hill Police and Fire Department leading the way to the home. We stood in a flag line at the home. Thanks to Lance for setting up the flags and those that stood in the flag line.
