November 10, 2017 at 9:08 pm #5020markwellsKeymasterThank you to all who came out today for this event. We had 12 in the procession and 14 in the flag line at the home site. At the briefing Cpl Babin's father, Round Rock Police Asst Chief Alan Babin Sr, told us of his son's wounds and the many surgeries and trials which followed since that day in 2003 he was severely wounded while providing aid to another soldier.
At the request of the organizers Charles recorded the ride over and provided his memory chip to their use.
We heard from a number of speakers at the event, but the brief words spoken by Cpl Babin's mother Rosie and Mr. Gary Sinise himself were heartfelt and moving. Also, it was cool to see Lt Dan in person! He is a true patriot.
