    Confirmed Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the LEO escorted arrival of the AVTT Vietnam Travelling Wall to Georgetown.  The Wall is an 80% replica of the National Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington DC and is part of this year’s fifth annual Georgetown Rotary Field of Honor.

    Date/Time: Thursday, 04 November 2021.  See timeline below.

    Staging Location: Texas Star Station truck stop, 9111 S IH 35 Service Rd, Jarrell, TX 76537.  This is the NW corner of Ronald Reagan and IH35.

    This intersection is under construction.  Arriving from the south stay to the left where the service road Y’s, turn left at the stop onto Round Reagan and cross the bridge. You’ll be able to turn right onto a short road into the truck stop.

    Timeline:
    2:00 – 2:25 pm – Staging
    2:25 pm – Safety Briefing
    2:40 pm – Departure
    3:00 pm – Arrival at the Rec Center.

    Wx: High 58 deg, Cloudy in the afternoon

    Notes: Fly your big flags!  All motorcycle riders are invited. This will be an LEO escorted procession to the Georgetown Recreation Center parking lot adjacent to the Field of Honor location where the wall will be erected. Approximate 20 minute ride down the IH35 service drive.

    All are invited back the next morning (Friday) to assist setting up Wall beginning at 8 am.

    The travelling wall truck was significantly delayed coming out of Tyler, and we had to scrub the mission. Thank you to the riders and all the law enforcement help from the Wilco SO and Georgetown PD who were on hand.
    The trailer is supposed to arrive this evening, so come out tomorrow morning to help assemble the wall.
