    Confirmed Mission: The family of Stanley William Johnson has invited the PGR to participate in his funeral and interment services. Mr. Johnson served his country in the US Navy during WWII, enlisting at age 17. He was stationed aboard the USS Talladega, APA 208, during the invasion of Iwo Jima and participated in every major island battle as Allied forces crossed the Pacific to Japan. He earned 2 Bronze stars and many awards for meritorious service. After the war he founded Stan's Heating and Air Conditioning in Austin. Mr. Johnson passed away on his 90th birthday.

    Date/Time: Monday, 11 April 2016, 10:00 am.

    Location: First Baptist Church of Elgin, 205 W 2nd St, Elgin, TX 78621. We will stage at the church.

    8:45 – 9:15 am staging
    9:15 am briefing with flag line to follow

    Wx: High 89, 50% rain chance.

    Notes: Please arrive fed, fueled, and hydrated. Following the funeral service we will join an LEO escorted procession for the approx. 24 mile procession to Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, Austin, TX, where will establish a second flag line for the interment service.

    11 bikes and 1 flag vehicle at the church, 2 additional PGR at cemetery. Good mission; got a little damp for a short period of time on way to Austin, more of an annoyance than anything else. Family was very appreciative of PGR presence.
