    Confirmed Austin Mission
    SSGT Wallace Carpenter, USAF 1947-1952

    The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the services for Wallace Carpenter, USAF 1947-1952.
    SSGT Wallace received the Medal of Occupation of Germany for his service in a MASH unit in West Berlin.

    Date/ Time: Sunday, 29 April 2012, 3:00PM

    Location: Staging at American Legion Post 734, Taylor, Texas. During
    services we will relocate to Taylor City Cemetery for burial. We will
    not participate in procession between the 2 locations.

    Directions: Traveling east on HWY 79, turn north on HWY 95. Turn left
    at 12th St. Enter Murray Park at Sycamore St. American Legion Hall
    address is 1310 Sycamore St., Taylor, Texas.

    Timeline

    Staging: 1:45-2:15 PM

    Briefing: 2:15 PM

    Flag line in place at entryway to A.L. Post: 2:30 PM

    3:00 PM, Service. Once service is underway we will relocate to Taylor City Cemetery without
    LEO escort.

    Flag line in place Graveside: 3:45 PM

    Burial: 4:00 PM

    WX: Low of 65, high 80, cloudy. (as of 24 April).

    Notes:
    Taylor City Cemetery is approx 1 mile from American Legion
    Post on downtown hwy 79 at Gym St. Please arrive fed and hydrated.
    Sunscreen advised. Bring water for yourself and one other.

    Thanks to all who made it out to the Carpenter mission this afternoon. SSGT Carpenter's son in law Jerry Flemming is PGR and he expressed sincere appreciation to our being there for the family.

    We had 10 members today. Bob wrangled the flags and brought cold water- thanks for always doing that, Bob. I got to pin one new member. Mary, we're glad you're with us.

    As always we made a difference. Thanks to all for what you do.
