    VERY SHORT NOTICE MISSION

    The family of Mr. Kenneth Menzel has requested the participation of the PGR in his funeral and burial services. Mr. Menzel was born and raised in the Thorndale area and passed away on Friday, 05 August. He served in the US Army, including in Vietnam from 1969-1971. He was also active in the VFW, serving as Post 4009 Commander for many years.

    Date/Time: Monday, 08 August 2011. Service scheduled for 10 am.

    Location: St. Paul Lutheran Church, 101 North 3rd Street, Thorndale, TX. Burial to follow at the St Paul Cemetery. Church map link: tinyurl.com/StPaulThorndale
    Directions: Entering Thorndale east bound on Hwy 79, turn left (north) on 3rd street. We will stage at the church.

    Timeline:
    8:45 – 9:15 am staging
    9:15 am briefing and flag line

    Wx: Sunny, low 78, high 101. Take proper precautions against the extreme heat, and remember your sunscreen.

    Notes: Please arrive fed, fueled, and hydrated. We will form a flag line prior to the service at the church in Thorndale and for the burial immediately following at the adjacent cemetery.

    Thank all of you for your service to this country. Our family appreciates all that you do to honor the American Servicemen. What a lovely tribute for my Dad, Milton Lange Sr. back in January.
