Maj. Gen. A.J. Stewart USAF, Retired
The Patriot Guard has been invited by the family to stand and honor Major General Alfred “A.J.” Stewart on Monday (March 24). Maj. Gen. Stewart served 32 years in the Air Force, with recently being assigned as Commander, Air Force Personnel Center, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. Throughout his career, he flew air refueling missions in support of the U.S.-led invasion of Grenada in 1983 and deployed to Southwest Asia in support of Saudi Arabia during the Iran and Iraq war in 1985. He also deployed as Combined Air Operations Center director of Mobility Forces in support of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
This mission will start with a LEO escorted procession of Maj. Gen. Stewart’s family from Randolph Air Force Base to Community Bible Church, where a flag line will be established prior to the funeral service. Once the service starts, another flag line will be established for military honors. After which the Patriot Guard will be dismissed as the family will have a private service to spread Maj. Gen. Stewart’s ashes. If available, please try to attend to honor Maj. Gen. Stewart and help support the family during their loss. Thank you.
