The Patriot Guard has been invited by the family and the Army to stand and honor Lieutenant Colonel Harry Zimmerman on Monday (Apr 06). LTC Zimmerman is a WWII Veteran who served in the Army Air Corps. In 1942, the Consolidated OA-10 that he was piloting crashed just after take off from an airfield in Canada, killing five of the nine crew members. The aircraft sunk to the bottom of Lake Erie and the crew’s remains were finally recovered in 2012. Interment services with millitary honors will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:30pm, where the Patriot Guard will establish a flag line for the service. If available, please try to attend to honor one of our Veterans and help support the family during their time of loss. Thank you.
