Confirmed San Antonio HOTH Mission
Operation Float a Soldier Escort
The Patriot Guard has been invited to assist with escorting some of our Wounded Warriors for Operation Float a Soldier on Saturday (June 16). OFaS has been around since 2005 and takes Wounded Warriors (and their families) from BAMC out to Canyon Lake for a day in the water. Our Wounded Warriors can enjoy a day on the beach, boating, fishing or just being out and about. This year, OFaS has asked for PGR assistance in starting their 2012 summer events with escorting 2 charter buses from BAMC to Canyon Lake, with approx. 20-50 Wounded Warriors. Once at Canyon Lake, we are welcome to either volunteer with events, spend some time with our Wounded Warriors, or just move on our way, no obligations on anything. If available, please try to attend to help support our Wounded Warriors and say thank you to some of Amercia’s Heroes that were injuried in the line of duty. Thank you.
Please note.. This ride will be about 45 miles, so arrive at staging fueled and ready to ride. Also, big flag bikes, please make sure flags are secure for highway speeds.
