Cpl. Bordoni – Marine KIA – San Antonio, Tx
The Patriot Guard has been invited by the family to assist with the escort of Cpl. Christopher Bordoni (Marines) on Tuesday (Apr 10) from Brookehill Funeral Home to San Antonio International airport, where he will be flown home to New York and laid to rest.
Cpl. Bordoni died of wounds sustained Jan. 18, 2012, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 1st Battalion,
6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C. At this time, this is an escort only to the airport, as arrangements have not been finalized at the airport on whether we may be allowed to form an honor line onsite. That information will be available on Monday and will be passed along during briefing Tuesday morning.
If available, please try to attend to escort one of our Fallen Heroes as he returns home to be laid to rest, and help support the family during their time of loss.
