Airport Recovery 1st Lt. Ray Army KIA

I received word late this afternoon that location and times for the recovery mission for 1st Clovis Ray have changed. Arrival will now be at Port San Antonio/Lackland at 10:00am. Please note changes below for times and map link. Also, at this time, there is no procession planned for 1st Lt. Ray from Sunset Funeral Home to Three Rivers, or back to San Antonio for transport to Hawaii.
The Patriot Guard has been invited by the family to participate with the recovery and escort of 1st Lt. Clovis Ray (Army), on Friday (Mar 30), from Port San Antonio to Sunset Funeral Home (approx. 18 miles). 1st Lt. Ray died in Kunar province, Afghanistan of injuries suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. 1st Lt. Ray will be coming home to Texas for funeral services to be held at Three Rivers (South Texas PGR), and will then be transported to Hawaii for interment. If available, please try to attend to help bring home one of our local fallen heroes and support the family. Thank you.
