Confirmed Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to a celebration of life for Lavell Paige Seats. Paige rode a Spyder and was a fixture in the flag line for many years. Eventually his health declined to the point he was no longer able to attend missions. He passed away on 17 September 2021.
Paige was born in Kansas City, MO, in 1938 and served our country as a pilot in the USMC from June 5, 1960 to August 31,1966. He was honorably discharged as a captain and went on to a career in commercial aviation with Continental Airlines, retiring as a captain in 1998. He is survived by a daughter and son in law, two grandchildren and his wife of 46 years, Kay. He will be inurned at a later date in Oregon.
Date/Time: Friday, 08 October 2021. The Celebration of Life event is at the family home from 4 – 6 pm.
What a wonderful get together to remember Paige at his home in Sun City. There was quite a crowd there when the 15 of us arrived by bike and cages. We enjoyed meeting Paige’s wife Kay and many of his friends from recent and way-back times.
Turns out Kay and Paige used to ride motorcycles (Kay on her own BMW) all over the US and would even fly to Europe and rent bikes for some legendary touring. Fun!
So long, Paige, thank you for serving our country and sharing the flag line with us.
