The family of Mr. James Thompson has invited the PGR to participate in his funeral and interment services. Mr. Thompson served our country for 30 years, beginning when he enlisted in 1943 at age 18 and was sent to the Pacific during WWII. He later served 15 years with the SAC.
He was also a rider, having purchased his first Harley after the war in 1948. He and his wife of 59 years, Francis, spent years riding and moto-camping together. In recent years when the couple saw the PGR in action at the CTSVC, he remarked to Francis "Sure would be nice to have those guys are around when my time comes". She told him "I'll do what I can".

July 21, 2010 at 9:11 pm #2780markwellsKeymasterThanx much Bob for providing the flags and water for us at MSgt Thompson's mission. As said previously – our flag wranglers are the keystones for a mission.
July 22, 2010 at 1:53 am #2781markwellsKeymasterHats off to the 33 patriots who came out for MSgt Thompson today at the church and all the rest at the cemetery in Killeen. You all made a big impact on his friends and family and helped see that he received a fitting farewell in recognition of his long service to our country.
May he rest in peace, and may God's peace and comfort be upon those he leaves behind.
