LtCol Antoine Theriot, 90, USAF (Ret), Florence, TX, 09 Jun 2023

Confirmed mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral service for LtCol Antoine (Tony) Theriot.  LtCol Theriot entered the USAF in June 1954 and served 23 years, including a year in Vietnam.  As a pilot he flew B-36s, B-52s, and F-4s to protect America.  He departed this earth on May 24, and his wife Beverly, 91, followed him three days later.

Date/Time: Friday, 09 June 2023.  Funeral Mass begins at 11 am.

10:00 – 10:20 am – Staging
10:20 am – Briefing
10:30 am – Flag Line

Wx: High 96 deg, mostly sunny

Notes: Be advised there is a rosary service prior to the funeral.  Friends and family will be arriving during our staging period.  After the start of the funeral we will strike the flag line and depart quietly.

Pretty good turnout for the mission to honor LtCol. Theriot; 9 total members manned the flag line in uncomfortable heat. Thanks to all that took the time for this mission.

Received a voice mail message from LtCol Theriot’s daughter, thanking the PGR’s attendance at her father’s funeral mass. She was apologetic that the family did not thank us personally while on the flag line.
