Confirmed Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral service for LTC Maynard Ray Myers.  LTC Myers served for 32 years in the US Army and is a veteran of the Vietnam war where he earned the Silver Star, the Bronze Star and various other medals.  He was a Forward Observer for the Artillery and saw action over the whole peninsula.  He survived two helicopter crashes, multiple engagements including the Tet Offensive and was reported missing in action three different times.

He passed away on Veteran’s Day.

Notes: After the start of the funeral service we will strike the flag line and depart quietly.  Burial will be the same day at CTSVC in Killeen, 1 pm.  Centex PGR will participate.

Fifteen Patriot Guard Riders were in Georgetown, TX to stand in the flag line to honor LTC Maynard Ray Myers. LTC Myers served for 32 years in the US Army and is a veteran of the Vietnam war where he earned the Silver Star, the Bronze Star and various other medals.
He was a Forward Observer for the artillery and saw action over the whole peninsula. He survived two helicopter crashes, multiple engagements including the Tet Offensive, and was reported missing in action three different times. Members of the family walk the line and thanked all of us.
He passed away on Veteran’s Day.
