Confirmed mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral service for LTC Leon Leeper. LTC Leeper attended Texas A&M University and entered the Army immediately upon graduation. He served in post-war Korea and two tours in Vietnam, retiring from the Army after 22 years of service. His son-in-law tells us he was also a life long motorcycle enthusiast and loved his Harleys. Notes: Start hydrating the day before and bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend. This mission is a flag line only at the funeral home. LTC Leeper is to be interred at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 1 pm the same day. Centex PGR will participate in that service.
There is no LEO escorted procession from Georgetown to Killeen. However the Austin Ride Captain will select 2 – 4 big flag motorcycle volunteers to accompany the coach and family to CTSVC. Upon arrival at the cemetery they will fall under the direction of the Centex PGR ride captain.
