Riders, we have two missions on 22 March at 9 am. If you've yet to attend a mission this year, your participation would be especially appreciated on this day.

Confirmed Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral service for Mr. John Rockwell, who served in the US Army from 1979 to 1982. He left the service as a Corporal. CPL Rockwell has no next of kin. His care giver/legal guardian for the past three years tells how much he loved riding his motorcycle and serving his country in the Army. She thought the PGR could provide him an appropriate send off. Let's make it so!

An obituary has not been published.

Date/Time: Thursday, 22 March 2018. Funeral service scheduled for 9 am.

Location: Austin Peel & Sons Funeral Home, 607 E Anderson Ln, Austin, TX 78752. We will stage at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen the same day at noon. Centex PGR will participate. The funeral home has requested a few flag bikes accompany them from Georgetown to Killeen. (No LEO).

    Ride Captain: Keith Longacre, (512) 751-8955, keithlongacre@att.net

Please stand for Mr. Rockwell and see that his last journey is not taken alone.

Today was a very special day. We PGR patriots had the privilege of standing in as Mr. Rockwell's family, both at the FH & at the internment. W/O LEO assistance, only Charles F. escorted Mr. Rockwell to his final resting place. At CTSVC, several more PGR members placed 5o US Flags at the shelter for his arrival. Military honors were rendered followed by a short service.
Thank U Sara ( Care Giver ) for including the PGR in Mr. Rockwell's service. We were very honored to be there.
