Escort and Arrival Ceremony of the Texas Vietnam
Heroes Exhibit at the Bullock Texas State History MuseumThe Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the escorting and arrival ceremony of the Texas Vietnam Heroes Exhibit at the Bullock Texas State History Museum, 1800 Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78701. Upon arrival riders are
encouraged to assist in the set-up of the memorial exhibit inside the museum .Date: Monday, August 18, 2014
Location: Elgin, Texas
Directions: We will stage at the Citgo Station, corner of U.S. 290 East and 11th St, Elgin, Texas (West bound side)

Arrive Bullock Museum Those who are unable to go to Elgin but would
like to help with the flag line and/or the exhibit setup can go
directly to the Bullock Museum. Austin Region RC’s Dick Ward and
Keith Brown will be at the museum to direct riders to the appropriate

brief. At the Elgin location we will join up with the procession from

There were twenty-five bikes that rode escort to the museum including two first mission riders. Bikes staging at the museum put the number above thirty. The escort from Elgin was absolutely flawless. For that I thank every rider for their complete cooperation and professionalism. Special thanks to the Elgin PD for getting us safely to Manor and to Austin PD for the safe escort through Austin to the museum. Thank you Bob Binkley for wrangling flags and also a big thank you to those able to stay and help assemble the exhibit.
