Confirmed Mission: The family of Donald Jackson Davis has invited the PGR to participate in his funeral and interment services.  Mr. Davis served in the US Army, leaving the service as an SP4.  Additional details of his military service were not provided.

Date/Time: Monday, February 17, 2025.  Interment service begins approx. 3:15 pm.

Location: Davis Family Cemetery, located about 5 miles north of Briggs on the south side of Hwy 183.  map link

2:30 – 3:00 pm – Staging
3:00 pm – Briefing
Flag line upon arrival of the procession from the funeral in Lampasas.

Wx: High 62 deg F, mostly sunny.

Notes: This mission is a flag line only at the cemetery for the duration of the interment service.  Centex PGR will be at the 2 pm funeral in Lampasas the same day.

Five Patriots stood the flag line to honor Mr. Davis’s service to our country. We had a chance to explore the Davis cemetery a bit during staging. It dates back to 1866 which gave us an idea of just how long his family has been in the area.

The Army had two uniformed soldiers on hand to fold and present the flag and sound taps.

Thanks to Calvin for arriving early and posting flags at the entrance off Hwy 183. One could easily miss the turn-off without them.

RIP, SP4 Donald J. Davis.
