Confirmed Mission: The family of Conrado Nira has invited the PGR to participate in his funeral and interment services. Mr. Nira is a combat veteran of two wars, serving in the US Army during WWII, 1943 – 46, and again in Korea, 1950-51, where he was a heavy weapons specialist. He was wounded in Korea and awarded the Purple Heart. When asked in later years about his rank in the military, he would refer to himself as a "bullet stopper".
