    Confirmed Mission
    Gary T. Wiley

Gary T. Wiley is the brother of one of our Austin Ride Captains, John "Texas Coyote" Wiley. He was a Viet Nam veteran and very proud of his brother John and the mission of the PGR. There will be a memorial for Gary and we have been asked to attend. The mission will be handled by the San Antonio PGR in New Braunfels and their staging has been published (see confirmed missions, San Antonio at http://www.auspgr.org ). The Austin staging to ride to New Braunfels is as follows:

Date/Time: Wednesday, Feb. 1st, 2012. Memorial service scheduled for 11am.

Location: We will stage at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant on the north side of the Cabela's parking lot, close to the frontage rd, Buda, Tx.

Directions: Traveling southbound on IH 35 from Austin, take exit 220 and stay to the right side of the frontage rd. Turn right into the Cabela's parking lot, then right again (north) back to the Cracker Barrel.

Immediately following the Memorial Services there will be a gathering at Big Al’s Beer Garden, 125 S Business 35. Everyone is invited.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that a donation be made to Soldier’s Angels or The Wounded Warrior Project.

Please make plans to recognize the honorable service of this soldier to our country.

Thanks to all who braved the fog, mist, and rain to honor T.C.'s brother, Gary Wiley.
We departed Buda with about 20 bikes (one first time rider) and 2 cages.
I think that everyone could see at the briefing that T.C. was proud and honored.

    Thanks for what you do………….

A heart felt note from TC to Charles Rathgeber the RC for this Mission.

    “Charles,
Speaking for myself and on behalf of the rest of my Family, I just wanted to say Thank You to the Patriot Guard for honoring my Brother Gary in New Braunfels on Wednesday Feb. 1st, 2012. He loved the Patriot Guard and what we stand for and I know he would be extremely proud to know you were there to honor him. Although he did actually sign up last summer, he wasn’t always physically able to do some of the things he wanted to, but you can bet that he was at every mission he knew about in spirit. His phone calls to me proved that. I love him and I’m going to miss him but I know for him the battle is finally over and may he now rest in peace.

Once again Thank You to everyone who braved the fog and rain that morning to make this mission a success and to everyone who was there if only in spirit. It meant a lot to me and the Family. I do not know how many missions I have done as a Patriot Guard member, but this is the first time I have been on the receiving end of your love and kindness. I now know without a doubt that we do does make a difference.

God Bless you all for doing what you do.
    TC”
