10 Loyal Patriot Guard members were present, despite the heat, to honor Col. Duck. Friends and family came to the staging area to thank us for being there. The flag line was a little long and two of our members had to leave the flag line because of the heat. One strange occurrence, their were three full bird Colonels and a LtCol, in full uniform in attendance and they did not render honors when taps was played. After the ceremony, I went to one of them and asked why not, the answer I got was they didn’t know they were supposed too. Ride Captain in training Patti is progressing well, asked some very good questions, will be a welcome addition.
