    Extremely short notice mission: The family of Clarence Matthew Beck has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in his interment service.  Mr. Beck enlisted in the US Navy in March 1943 and served 29 months active sea duty on both the U.S.S. Algorab and the U.S.S. Blue Ridge, attaining the rating of Coxswain.

    Date/Time: Thursday, 06 July 2023.  Cemetery service approximately 11:30 am.

    Location: Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.  We will stage at the funeral home.

    Timeline:
    10:30 – 11:00 am – Staging
    11:00 am – Briefing
    11:20 am – Flag line prior to the arrival of the procession to the grave site.

    Wx: Partly cloudy, high 92 deg F.

    Notes:  Bring drinking water for yourself and a friend.  Stay hydrated!  We will stand a flag line at the grave site for the duration of the interment service.

    Thank you to everyone who changed their plans at the last minute to attend this very short notice mission to honor the service of WWII veteran Clarence Beck. We had 10 in the flag line at the cemetery for the graveside service. Thank you in particular to Max for bringing the flags and water from Kyle up to Pflugerville through the legendary Austin traffic.
    The family was especially appreciative. Our WWII heroes are rapidly declining in number, and it was our privilege to have joined them at his final farewell.
