    CONFIRMED CENTEX MISSION
    TSgt Walter T. Gentry, USAF, Retired, WWII POW, Temple, TX
    The family of Tech Sergeant Walter Gentry has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One.

    Tech Sergeant Gentry retired from the United States Air Force after serving more than twenty years. He was a prisoner of war during WWII after his plane was shot down over Poland in 1944 and also a Purple Heart recipient. Walter then worked with General Dynamics as a Maintenance Document Analyst in Ft Worth for 20 years.

    Flagline Establishment: 1015 +/- Once the Service has begun, we will strike the flagline and prepare to participate in the procession to the cemetery. The procession will not leave before 1315, so consider bringing snacks or lunch.

    INTERMENT

    Staging Time: 1305

    Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, located on Hwy 195 just south of Killeen, TX.

    Briefing: 1310 – Once cleared, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags and await arrival of the procession from the church in Temple.

    WX: Partly sunny, with a high near 92. South wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

    Notes:

    1. Arrive at stagings on time and the church topped off.

    2. Be prepared for a long wait at the church between striking the flagline and departure of the procession. Consider bringing snacks or lunch.

    3. Hydrate well the night prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
