    CONFIRMED CENTEX MISSION
    TSgt Jack Narvel Barron, USAF, Retired, Killeen, TX

    The family of Tech Sergeant Jack Barron, of Belton, has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders in the Funeral and Interment of their Loved One.

    Jack began his military service in the Army Air Corps and served there during the Korean War. He then transferred to the Air Force, from which he retired. He was awarded the Top Airman's Medal for Bravery during Peacetime (16 Feb 59), which was presented to him 30 years later at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. He held State of Texas and National Offices in the Disabled American Veterans for over 20 years.

    FUNERAL SERVICE

    Staging Time: 0830

    Staging Location: Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 S Fort Hood St, Killeen, TX 76542 tinyurl.com/ykp5q6o

    Briefing: 0840

    Flagline Establishment: 0845 +/- Once the Funeral Service begins, we will strike the flagline and prepare to participate in the procession to the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery for Interment.

    INTERMENT

    For those Members able to attend only the Interment Portion of this mission, the following is submitted:

    Staging Time: 1005

    Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, located on Hwy 195 just south of Killeen, TX.

    Briefing: 1010 Once we are cleared, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags and await the arrival of the procession.

    WX: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. South wind between 5 and 15 mph.

    Notes:

    1. Arrive at staging topped off.

    2. Hydrate well the night prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
