    CONFIRMED CENTEX MISSION
    SPC New Zachary, US Army, Active Duty, Lampasas, TX

    The family of Specialist New Zachary has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One.

    New served one tour in Afghanistan and was stationed in Alaska where he died in a training accident. The Casualty Assistance Officer also told me that New was originally from Jarrell, TX.

    FUNERAL SERVICE

    Staging Time: 0900

    Staging Location: First Baptist Church of Lampasas, 402 South Key Avenue, Lampasas, TX 76550 tinyurl.com/1stBaptistLampasas

    Briefing: 0910

    Flagline Establishment: 0925 +/- Once the Funeral Service begins, we will strike the flagline and prepare to participate in the procession.

    Note: Be at stagingON TIME and topped off.

    INTERMENT

    For those able to attend only the Interment Service, the following is submitted:

    Staging Time: 1305

    Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located off TX 195 just south of Killeen, TX tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme

    Briefing: 1310 +/- Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags and await arrival of the procession.

    WX: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a high near 78. South southeast wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

    Notes:

    1. Be prepared for a long wait between striking the flagline and participating in the procession.

    2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
