SPC Ember Marie Alt, 21, US Army, KIA, Killeen, TX

The family of Specialist Ember M Alt has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Airport Recovery, Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One.

Ember graduated from Killeen High School in 2009 where she excelled in track. One of her crowning moments is where she helped lead her team to the State finals during her senior year. Ember joined the United States Army in 2011. During her service SPC Ember Marie Alt received many awards for her accomplishments to include the Bronze Star, Purple Heart metal and the Combat Action Badge just to name a few. ENTRANCE IS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PARKING LOT – LOOK FOR IT ON YOUR RIGHT IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE INTERSECTION OR YOU WILL END UP DRIVING THROUGH THE DITCH TO GAIN ENTRY!

WX: Sunny and hot, with a high near 102. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located off TX 195 just south of Killeen, TX tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme

Briefing: 1010 – Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags and await arrival of the procession.
