    CENTEX ADDENDUM TO AUSTIN CONFIRMED MISSION
    SGT Juan P Navarro, 23, US Army, KIA

    The family of Sergeant Juan P. Navarro has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders in the Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One.

    Sergeant Navarro, of Austin, died in Afghanistan on 7 Jul 12 when he was attacked with an enemy improvised explosive device. SGT Navarro was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. He entered the Army in Jun 08 and attended basic training at Ft Benning, GA before being assigned to Joint Base Lewis-McChord. SGT Navarro was on his second tour of duty in the war zone, his first tour being in 09.

    Staging Time: 1400

    Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, TX 195 just south of Killeen, TX tinyurl.com/CTSVCTX

    Briefing: 1405 – Once cleared, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags and await arrival of the procession bringing SGT Navarro from Austin, TX.

    WX: Partly sunny, with a high near 93. South wind 5 to 10 mph.

    Notes:

    1. The procession from Austin may arrive early, so please be on time for staging.

    2. Watch the CenTex website to see if anyone is riding down to Austin to participate in the Funeral Service and procession. If you are, and care to have others join you, you are welcome to post a staging time/location/KSU on his thread on the CenTex website for others to see.     3. Hydrate well the night prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
