    SHORT NOTICE CONFIRMED MISSION
    SGT Christian A. S. Garcia, US Army, KIA

    The family of Sergeant Christian A. S. Garcia has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Recovery of their Loved One from the Robert Gray Army Airfield on Tuesday, 12 Apr 11. Sergeant Garcia died April 2 of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his position with indirect fire in Babil, Iraq. He is originally from Goodyear, Arizona.

    Date: Tuesday, 12 Apr 11

    Staging Location: The parking lot across from Victory Corner, located on the SW side of the intersection of Highway 190 and Clarke Road, just outside the gate to West Fort Hood. (Remember, there is only one driveway and it is located immediately after the frontage road.)

    Staging Time: 1500 – PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE, Wheels down is 1533 +/-

    Briefing: 1515

    KSU: 1600 +/-

    WX: Sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming southeast between 5 and 10 mph.

    Notes:

    1. We have been asked to participate in the procession bringing SGT Garcia from West Fort Hood to Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, TX.

    2. Arrive topped off; bring water for yourself and a buddy; bring a snack or food; dress with consideration for the weather conditions.

    3. BE PREPARED FOR CHANGES AS THE FLIGHT MAY BE A LITTLE EARLY OR LATE.

    4. Funeral Services are expected to be on Friday, 15 Apr 11 at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen (there will be a separate mission order for this). Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. There will be NO procession to San Antonio.

    Please join us in honoring this Patriot Warrior for his Ultimate Sacrifice to our Great Nation.
