    CONFIRMED CENTEX MISSION
SGM Terrance Smith, US Army, Active Duty
    Visitation and Memorial Service

The Family of Sergeant Major Terrance Smith has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Visitation and Memorial Service of their Loved One on Thursday, 7 Jul 11 from 0900 to 1100 at the Comanche Chapel on Fort Hood. Arrangements are being handled by Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.

Sergeant Major Smith joined the US Army in 1984 and was due to retire soon.

    Date: Thursday, 7 Jul 11

Staging Location: The Comanche Chapel on Tank Destroyer Blvd, Ft Hood, TX. (The Church is located on the north side of Tank Destroyer, just west of Clear Creek Road.)

    Staging Time: 0815

    Briefing: 0820

    Flagline Establishment: 0825 +/-

WX: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 102. South wind around 10 mph.

    Notes:

    1. Please hydrate the night before, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.

    2. There have been no prearrangements to allow riders on post, so make sure you have all required equipment/documents if you ride a bike in. Some of you may want to cage it this time, since this will be a static mission and there will be no procession after the service.

    3. During this mission we will rebar the flags, thereby allowing members to switch off the flagline easily.

    4. We expect Sergeant Major Smith to be interred at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery on Friday, 8 Jul 11, but that has not been confirmed yet. Updated information will be posted online and an email will be sent as soon as we know for sure.

Please join us in honoring this Fallen Warrior who was struck down before he could retire.
