    SHORT NOTICE – CONFIRMED CENTEX MISSION
    SFC Virgil "Mike" Frank, US Army, Retired

    The family of Sergeant First Class Virgil Frank has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral of their Loved One on Friday, 23 Sep 11 at 1100 at the Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. We have been asked to participate in the procession bringing SFC Frank to his final resting place at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery for Interment at 1200.

    Mike retired from the US Army after 20 years at the rank of SFC. He earned the following ribbons and medals: Army Commendation Medal; Good Conduct Medal, silver W/1 loop; National Defense Service medal; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon, Numeral 5; NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Numeral 3. He was a lifelong member of the VFW, the American Legion and the 40/8.

    For those able to participate only in the interment portion of this mission, the following is submitted:

    Staging Time: 1105

    Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Memorial Shelter and the Walk of Heroes at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, located 5 miles south of Killeen, TX.

    Briefing: 1110 – Upon clearance, we will proceed to the shelter, set up the flags and await arrival of the procession.
