    CONFIRMED CENTEX MISSION
    SFC Richard Henry Bennett, Jr, US Army, Retired, Kempner, TX

    The family of Sergeant First Class Richard Bennett, Jr. has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One on Monday, 26 Mar 12 in Copperas Cove, TX.

    Dick entered the United States Army at 17 and served as a guard at the Nuremberg War Trials following World War II. He did three tours in Germany, one in Thailand and was in Korea during the Korean conflict. He achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class and retired after twenty-two and one half years of service. After his Army service he worked for the Post Office, the Fort Hood Ammunition Accounting Office and several other jobs until he retired from Civil Service. He was a resident of the Killeen/Copperas Cove/Kempner area for almost 65 years. He was a life member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and the Circle C Constabulary Association.

    Flagline Establishment: 0915 +/- Once the service has begun, we will strike the flagline and await the end of the Service, at which time we will accompany SFC Bennett to the Copperas Cove City Cemetery where we will establish another flagline for his Interment.

    WX: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. South wind between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

    2. Hydrate well the night prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
