The family of Sergeant First Class Nelson J Basco has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One.
Nelson served in the Army for 20 years with tours in Korea and Vietnam and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal with V Device, Good Conduct Medal third award, National Defense Service Medal with first Oak Leaf Cluster, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantry Badge second Award, and Expert Rifle Badge. He retired as a sergeant first class. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 147, American Legion post 223, Korean War Veterans Association and the Sheriffs Association of Texas.
